Farmophobia!!! OoOoOoOoOh

last Saturday we went to Farmophobia as a trip. I have to say I was terrified. There were people popping out at every corner of the farm dressed in the creepiest costumes!! uuuh simple terrifying. Nevertheless I have to say it was great fun and the chipper van right beside it was a good place to recover from the experience ;-) I would definitely say I would go back there...but not by myself

TY Come Dine with Me: Mexican Night!!

Come dine with is a night where Mr.Coldrick kindly lets 4 Ty students loose in his kitchen to cook a meal of a nationality of our year.
Tonight was Mexican Night!!! I was a cool along with our True Mexican- Valeria our Spaniard from Mexico- Valentina and a  native Basqu-ian ;) Joné. But i looked the part of a mexican with my epic poncho!!
We cooked many native dishes of which I cant remember any of the names but one Chilequiles  (i have no idea if i spelt that right) it was very nice even though I dont know what it is exactly.
We had so much fun and had so much food- Dat was suurrr gurd!! Yum! The mexican music was interesting but it's nowhere near as good as miley cyrus ;)
Thank you Mr. Coldrick for hosting us and thank you Ms. Kerr for being a great surperviser.
Adios!!

House Speeches

This year I was considered "lucky enough" to participate in house speeches. one out of 3 chosen in my house and one out of 15 to be chosen in total. When discovering I had to do a speech I thought 'what am I going to do my speech on?' a very common question among all of us. While every other person seemed to have chosen their topics in a day I felt very behind. Every topic that I felt was right wasn't right, because in the end they didn't fit well. But luckily only 4 days before the evening on a prep I struck an idea which was urged on by Ellie Moffitt as she was doing hers on 'tea' something that she loved and that's when I thought why not do the same so i chose to do it on.....chocolate!!!
In rehearsal I didn't feel very confident in my speech as others speeches seemed to be better done but unlike my other topics I loved this one and wasn't going to change it. One thing though I thought I could really do with this speech was to in a way perform it = present it with pizzazz.
The night had come and one by one the speeches went. I knew i was last so i was ready to give it everything to close the show. Speeches like Laia's on Mothers, Harvey's on Brain tumors and Eliza's on Russian Stereotypes really caught my eye and i thought that theirs would certainly be contenders to win.
The big moment.... i step on stage and start to deliver my speech as i go on te crowd start to laugh and go wild and from that I felt WOW it's happening and as  I went on I felt more and more confidence until I ended with  Forrest Gump's famous words," Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know watchya gonna get." When i ended the crowd roared and it felt amazing. all there was to do now was wait and....did i mention i was in the entertainment too!!!
So now it was time to show what stuff we were made of with our amazing dance choreography to 'Crazy in Love' by Beyoncé. If i do say so myself, we the 12 or so that did it smashed it and my part especially with my amazing booty-shake which highlighted my amazing sparkly jacket and leggings ;).
After this it was time for the results and as Mr McCarthy read through what he thought individually about our speeches, he then went on to read the results, Laia Casas in 3rd, Mark Crampton 2nd!!!!!!! and Harvey McCone 1st. I was amazed and shocked because although my speech got the crowd I didn't think I would place like that,But of course Gwynn being the best house we came 1st overall. A truly amazing night witch I certainly won't ever forget.

Collecting for Aware

Collecting for Aware

Today, a group of us collected for Aware in Tescos. Aware is a charity that helps people through depression.
Most of our year collected on this but we rotated in groups of about 7 every 3 hours with a different group for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Friday being the best day because it was the day my group went ;). We packed bags and bags and it was interesting to see how nice people were about donating to the charity. a great experience #YOLO

J'C Results Noight ;)

im  going to give the dets. on the great results night we had. Firstly we went to Causey Farm, and there we made delicious bread that was scumdiddiliumptious!! and then we went on to to do........ BOG JUMPING!!
As it was my first time doing this I was scared it would be all cold and slimy and really not that great. i was right about the first two things but i was wrong it was so much fun. something about the way you couldn't move after taking a step in was funny, and the trying to get out was a very interesting challenge.
Then we went on to a movie in Dundrum. Here we saw Elysium, a sc-fi movie which was very good but was scary as it was about the near future
All in all though it was a greta night and i would like to give a big shout out and thank Mr Sherwood for organising it and also to Mr. Clarke and Ms Kerr for helping to supervise as well
 Slán!!!!!
